Workshop Alert!

EGPS is holding a Gelli Plate Printmaking Workshop led by Janel Warmington, Sunday, June 28, 10-3.

Gelli plates are a reusable non-toxic synthetic polymer ‘plate’ infused with mineral oil, that can be used with acrylic paint to create one-of-a-kind pieces without the need for an expensive printing press.

Janel will guide you through the basics of printing with a Gelli Plate including:

• Care and storage of your gelli plate
• How a gelli plate works
• Printing with natural or found objects
• Transferring magazine images onto the plate
• Hand painting or colouring on the plate
• Creating and using stencils with your prints
• Collaging onto your gelli plate print 
• Printing art cards from your gelli print

Fee: $130

All materials plus an 8″ x 10″ gelli plate for you to take home are included in the fee. FYI, this size gelli plate would retail for $38 (not including shipping).Contact elephantgrassprint@gmail.com to register (required as space is limited).
